Today Apple announce it's newest creation, the iPad. Personally I think the name is a little funny, but this tablet computer does look like an interesting tool for the mobile photographer. I found a few articles about how professional photogs might use the iPad. I'm sure once it is released in 2 months there will be some better hands on reviews with photographers in mind. I could easily see it being used for quick picture reviews in the field or even as a portfolio.

Its pretty sweet, Im going to wait until it has Wacom tablet capabilities before I consider purchasing it. overall pretty amazing though

It has capacitive multi-touch so in a sense it already does. I personally feel this is just an iPhone+. It doesn't multitask, it flat out runs on the iPhone OS and not OSX, and lastly is limited to the apps in which the app store "approves".
