Classic "Wrong"

Here is a picture of a sunset I took a few years ago from the stands of a BSU game. I think I even took it with my cell phone camera, ha ha ha. This is just...sad.

Apple iPad

Today Apple announce it's newest creation, the iPad. Personally I think the name is a little funny, but this tablet computer does look like an interesting tool for the mobile photographer. I found a few articles about how professional photogs might use the iPad. I'm sure once it is released in 2 months there will be some better hands on reviews with photographers in mind. I could easily see it being used for quick picture reviews in the field or even as a portfolio.

Luminous Landscapes take on the iPad

Awww...

Meet Fireheart, the male half of our clown pair. I took this photo in the dark using my flash as a light source with minute ambient lighting coming from the TV in the same room. I'm using a Pentax K20 with manual focus.

Photo Edit Time Lapse.

I had this posted earlier but removed it due to a strange compression error, it still look a little screwy, anyways this is just a time lapse edit I did for a client. The photo isn't finished but I feel it was blog worthy.
You can see the better version here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2nfteLH2i8

Shutterbuggin'

After shutterbuggin' came up in class today I thought I should share this video. It's one of Buck 65's stranger videos so be prepared. A couple of cameras and a video camera make appearances and if nothing else you can enjoy his sweet dance moves (I know I do).

Video Tutorial

So over winter break I decided to set foot into a territory in which many photographers shy away from: video. For Christmas I gave my girlfriend the gift of photography with a DSLR camera as many people throughout my extended family got. However I noticed a great deal many of them haven't even stepped out beyond the bounds of fully automatic (green box) mode. This saddens me for this is where real creative potential lay. So in a general attempt to educate the populous I started a video series. After the break is the results of my first attempt at an entry into using your camera to its full potential. Please point any helpful hints for my next video where I can improve them or simply point out anything I got wrong (which hopefully is less than I dread). Also please be honest if this is as awkward to watch for you as it is for me.

Edit: I apologize for the poor quality. To watch it in HD follow this link.

Hello, All!

Just getting my first post out of the way for no special reason other than memory retention for future use....

This was taken at the Craters of the Moon August of 2009. Although it is a sunset, I actually think the image is pretty cool. I love the way the clouds look sort of painted. Please feel free to make comments or critiques and ask any questions.

Thanks, Maria
